Services
Whether you're 4 or 21, there's a place for you at Space Arca. All of our services are free for the young people we support, and are designed to grow with them, from their very first rocket launch to their very first job in the Space Industry.
Children
Sparking curiosity through play. Our youngest explorers learn that space is for everyone, and that asking big questions is the first step on every mission.

Hands-on play sessions where children design, build and launch their very own foam and paper rockets.

Storytelling under our portable planetarium dome, bringing myths, planets and constellations to life.

Creative art sessions where children paint planets, build galaxies in jars and make their own mission patches.

Teamwork challenges where children design and build a lunar base that could keep astronauts safe on the Moon.

Role-play adventures where children take on real mission roles, from flight director to communications officer.

Active games inspired by real astronaut training, teaching balance, coordination and how the body changes in space.

A gentle introduction to block-based coding, programming animated rockets and rovers to explore distant worlds.

Evening stargazing sessions with loaned telescopes, helping children find their way around the night sky.

Weekend experiment clubs exploring gravity, light, magnetism and more through messy, memorable science.

Children build and drive simple robotic rovers across an obstacle course modelled on the surface of Mars.

Investigations using real images from space agencies, as children search for craters, volcanoes and signs of water.

Free evening events where the whole family can stargaze, build together and learn about the universe side by side.
Teens
Turning curiosity into confidence. We help teenagers build real skills, make informed choices about their future, and meet the people already working in space.

One-to-one guidance to help teens choose their school subjects with confidence, and see the many routes into the Space Industry.

Our flagship program for girls, offering coding, engineering and science workshops in a supportive, welcoming space.

Fully funded trips to space centres, observatories and research labs to see the industry up close.

Teams design and build a working CubeSat model, learning how real satellites are powered, controlled and tested.

A year-long model rocketry competition where teams design, build and launch rockets against schools across the region.

Teens analyse real telescope data to hunt for exoplanets and variable stars, learning the basics of data science along the way.

Free small-group tutoring to help teens build confidence and achieve the grades that open doors in STEM.

Weekend coding challenges solving real problems faced by space missions, with prizes, pizza and plenty of fun.

A week-long placement with one of our industry partners, giving teens a real taste of working in the Space Industry.

Teens are paired with a space professional who meets with them regularly to offer advice, encouragement and inspiration.

Teens develop public speaking skills and return to local primary schools to inspire the next generation of explorers.

Debates on who owns the Moon, space debris and more, building critical thinking and communication skills.
Specialist Skills
Preparing for lift-off. Our advanced programs give young adults the specialist skills, qualifications and connections they need to launch their careers.

An introduction to CAD, mechanics and structural design, using real spacecraft components as case studies.

Learn Python, embedded systems and the principles behind the flight software that keeps missions running.

Hands-on circuit design, soldering and sensor integration, building the electronics that power spacecraft.

Build and program autonomous robots, exploring the technology behind planetary rovers and robotic arms.

Master the tools used to prototype and manufacture parts for satellites, rockets and ground equipment.

Learn to share the wonder of space through writing, video and public speaking, a vital skill in every space organisation.

Support with finding, applying for and interviewing for apprenticeships with leading space companies.

Guidance on university applications, personal statements and scholarships, so cost is never the reason to say no.

Use satellite imagery and GIS tools to monitor climate, crops and cities, one of the fastest-growing areas of the industry.

Explore how the human body adapts to space, and the science behind keeping astronauts healthy on long missions.

Simulated mission control exercises covering spacecraft tracking, telemetry and working under pressure as a team.

Learn how space companies are funded, run and grown, and develop a pitch for your own space start-up idea.
